I’m 4 years old and love to read the Bible.

Today we’re going to talk about how the Lord is our light.

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭27:1‭ 

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

What does it mean that the Lord is my light? Well, light is used so we can see in the dark and it shows us what’s there and where to go. Light and truth go hand in hand. Likewise, God is the truth, he illuminates our lives and helps us to see what’s right and gives us direction. 

Not only that, but he’s the Savior of our souls. Only he can save us from our sins and from eternal destruction. When you think about how secure we are in Jesus and how much he loves us, it helps you not to be afraid, right?

Are you afraid of anything right now? Remember that your life is secure in Jesus and nothing can separate you from him.

I hope you are able to feel better knowing that you are in His hands today. 

Dear Lord, thank you for my listeners, please help them to know that you are a shield and a stronghold and a protector and our light if we trust in you. Help them not to be afraid and if they don’t know you help them to give their lives to you today.

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
