John 14:6

Good Morning Everyone! How are you doing today?

Welcome back to another episode of God is Better Than Cake

I’m your host, Lottie! 

Today I’m going to say one of my favorite Bible verses from memory and then talk about what it means. Ready?

John 14:6

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”

– John 14:6 ESV

This is a very bold statement and would be blasphemous if Jesus was not God. 

But on the flip side, this is very reassuring and comforting to my soul to know that Jesus, our kind, good and loving shepherd is the way to the Father.

He paid for our sins by his death on the cross and made it possible for anyone to come to the Father.  

Without his death and resurrection, no one could come to God because of their sin.

I’m so glad that God did not abandon us in our sin. 

Remember Adam and Eve? 

Right after they disobeyed God, he mercifully told them he’d make a way to redeem mankind and punish the deceiver. 

They deserved to die right away, but God loved them enough to make a way to save them and you and me. Jesus!

I’m so glad that Jesus loves me! 

No matter how hard your life is right now, or how broken it may seem, don’t forget that Jesus loves you. 

Don’t forget that he made a way to make you right with God.

Lord, help my listeners today to be comforted by the fact that you are the way to the Father, 

that you are our redeemer and healer and that we can find comfort in you.  

Bring many to know you, 

help them to have faith like a child, like me!
